Aquariums
I love a good aquarium. Actually I love any aquarium, but I have had the privilege of visiting some pretty spectacular ones. Monday we visited the Waikiki Aquarium with our playgroup friends. It wasn't the grandest one I've been to by any means, but it was nice and I felt it was just the right size for kids. By the time we completed our tour the kids were ready to run around outside and were pretty much over looking at fish.

My favorite aquarium is actually one I visited on our trip to California. (Yes, I know I keep mentioning this trip, but it was 3.5 weeks long and we did a lot of things) The California Academy of Science in San Francisco was amazing!! Now, the Academy is in the same area as world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. I am most definitely a fan of Monterey. Actually, when we lived there we had an annual membership for a couple of years in a row. However, the Academy just wowed me! It was definitely equal or better than Monterey Bay.

The Beach
Tuesday we hit the beach with some friends and we could have stayed all day had we not ran out of food and sunscreen. I love going to the beach and if we ever leave Hawaii I will absolutely miss this time the most. We love to hang out at the lagoons at Ko Olina. It's pretty close to our house and we love it because the water is so calm. It really gives the kids the freedom to enjoy the water, rather than fighting the waves. It also lets me breath a little easier.
Ceramic Knifes
When Husband and I were in France, 6 years ago, I discovered ceramic knives. I bought a few because I had never seen them back home. I actually have the same 2 knives that I bought back then and they are still as sharp as can be. They don't need to be sharpened and they come with nice covers. I am so pleased that I have been seeing them more and more places. Obviously the exact ones I have were purchased in France, but you can find similar ones here. You could ask anyone that has helped out in my kitchen, I am totally a spokes person. The ceramic knife people should just start paying me because I love to advertise for them! Do yourself a favor and get on the wagon with me.
French Press
Oh, how I love coffee. Who doesn't, am I right? We have a Keurig and I love using loose grounds in our reusable coffee pods. I feel better about not causing so much waste and plus, we live in Hawaii and the coffee is AMAZING here! For my birthday my bestie got me a fancy little french press. It changed my coffee loving life! Whew, french pressed coffee just tastes so smooth. We don't own a kettle, so we just use our Keurig for hot water. It works out great. If you have never had french press I suggest you jump on this as well. You can thank me after your first cup. ;)
